Silvia Rosi (b. 1992) is a Togolese-Italian artist based in Lomé. She uses the photographic medium and moving images, combined with text, to explore the space of memory and of (self) representation. Her self-portraits and staged photography are deeply rooted in the tradition of West African studio portraiture, blending autobiography with broader historical and social narratives. 

Her work has been exhibited at C/O Berlin (2025); Foundation Zinsou (2024); Collezione Maramotti (2024); Brooklyn Museum (2024); MAXXI - National Museum of 21st Century Art (2022); LA County Museum of Art (2022); Autograph ABP (2021); The National Portrait Gallery (2020) and Jerwood Arts (2020).

She has held residencies at Carraig-na-gCat, Josef & Anni Albers Foundation (2023); Hangar Centro de Investigação Artística (2023) and Thread, Josef & Anni Albers Foundation (2019)

Publications include  Protektorat (Spector Books ed.| C/O Berlin), Disintegrata (Cimorelli ed.| Collezione Maramotti). Her work is included in Eyes That Commit by Renée Mussai (Prestel ed.) and Ideas of Africa: Portraiture and Political Imagination by Oluremi C. Onabanjo (MoMA ed.)
