Silvia Rosi is a Togolese-Italian artist based in London and Lomé. She uses the photographic medium and moving images combined with text fragments to explore the space of memory and of (self)representation. Her self-portraits and staged photography are deeply rooted in the tradition of West African studio portraiture, blending autobiography with broader historical and social narratives.
Her work has been exhibited at C/O Berlin (2025); MAMbo (2025); LACMA (2024); Brooklyn Museum (2024); Fondation Zinsou (2024); Collezione Maramotti (2024); MAXXI (2022); Autograph ABP (2021) The National Portrait Gallery, (2020) and Jerwood Arts (2020). She has held residencies at Carraig-na-gCatJosef & Anni Albers Foundation (2023), Hangar Centro de Investigaçāo Artística (2023), and ThreadJosef & Anni Albers Foundation (2019).
